should I use an external voltage stabilizer 4 my new AC Whirlpool WASR12K20 to protect from voltage changes?

Is there any in-built protective system in Air Conditioners which can function like voltage stabilizer, (which is commonly used in India for appliances like refrigeraters, TVs and ACs) ? I am using a Whirlpool 1ton split AC model WASR12K20.

generally ac's will operate within a certain voltage range from what is needed. the range is usually +/- 20 volts.

if your power fluctuates more than that, a voltage regulater rated for what an ac needs will cost you a small fortune.
