Pain in hip joint?
I had pain in my left hip joint and when the doctor took, X-Ray he found a small 2 to 3 mm calcium growth which probably might whave happned due to jogging. I usually jog for 30mts daily.Does that cause such a pain. Is there any other soultion rather than not to stop jogging. I always want to live a active life. Swimming might be good but its too expensive in good pools. Please help me.
I am having flat feet.
-if your pain is at the buttock area, then it is most likely not related to the hip joint itself. buttock pain is most likely related to the spine.
-hip joint problem usually cause pain in the groin
-calcium growth is probably bone spur and it may be an incidental finding that is not related to your problem

The Chemistry of Swimming Pool Sanitation
Think of an inviting swimming pool, and more than anything else, you are likely to imagine cool, clear water.A huge part of that all-important cleanliness will be an effective sanitiser.
Swimming pool sanitisiers are the chemicals that kill any bacteria or viruses that get into the water quickly. Time is of the essence and so it is important these chemicals act speedily so that the bacteria and viruses can’t multiply and cause infections in those using the pool.
When dealing with the intricacies and differences between the sanitisers available it can seem as though you need a PhD in Chemistry. Chlorine is probably the best-known of all swimming pool sanitisers. There are two types of chlorine available to use to these ends - stabilised and unstabilised.
The first, stabilised chlorine, is largely used in outdoor pools. This chemical includes a stabiliser called cyanauric acid, which prevents the chlorine being broken down by sunlight. Cyanuric acid can be added separately or more commonly it is supplied as stabilised chlorine granules or tablets.
Stabilised chlorine granules have a pH close to neutral (7) so have little effect on the pH of the pool water. Unstabilised chlorine or calcium hypochlorite doesn't contain cyanuric acid and is therefore mainly used in indoor pools where the chlorine is not affected by the sunlight.
If stabilised chlorine is used for indoor pools it can lead to high levels of cyanuric acid, so it is important not to get these two different, but similar sounding, chemicals mixed up.
To add to the confusion, some pools, both indoor and outdoor, are fitted with circulation feeders called brominators. Brominators, which are particularly common in spa pools, use another sanitiser called bromo-chloro-dimethyl hydantoin (BCDMH).
Whenever anyone is handling any of these chemicals, it is crucial that they are trained in health and safety procedures. As with so many chemicals, in they are perfectly safe at the correct dosage, but an error can be serious.
It is for this reason that many commercial swimming pool managers turn to a professional swimming pool maintenance contractor to test the water and ensure that the chemicals being used are at safe levels.
It goes without saying that the last thing any commercial pool manager wants is their swimming pool connected with a bacterial or viral outbreak. When considering the cost to public health and commercial reputation of something going wrong, the cost of calling in the professionals is clearly an investment worth making.
