should I insulate my chicken coop ?

I just built a Pretty big chicken coop with a whole up stairs about 3feet tall and 8 ft long for laying hens i built it the same way i would build houses so i was wondering if i should use insulation in walls and then cover it with foam insulation sheets or just leave it i live in north IL so the chicken will be outside all year this time instead of barn do i need to insulate and whats ur best opinion on doing it ?

You should definitely insulate it, warmth helps the eggs grow and develop faster and it will make the chickens feel more comfortable, it never hurts to go a bit extra if the quality is worth it.
