Help me improve my freestyle?
I just joined the swim team out of the blue 3 days ago because I really love watching swimmers swim...and I like being in the water. The problem is that I don't know how to swim freestyle. I've tried it maybe a 2-3 of times before at the pool places I've been to but I've never quite understood...
Right now I'm starting off in the shallow pool with other beginners. I joined late so I'm super behind. It's so frustrating when i'm kicking with boards and other people overlap me. I feel so slow...it's frustrating...I'm kicking as hard as I can, but I barely get anywhere.
Right now I learned that my freestyle form done wrong. I heard it's more of a pierce, pull and grab motion instead of a slapping one..
The problems I am having is mainly that I'm super slow and I can't breath properly in the water and I swallow so much of it.
My swim team is trying to help me out, but I want to improve faster and I need more tips and advice.
Any tips? Advice? Practice ideas?
