What would happen if I install wood flooring on a not straight floor?

My floor is not very flat I have high spots and low spots and wonder how this will affect the new wood floor. The new floor is 3/4 oak and is about 2 - 1/4 wide. I expect gaps but heard that you can use subfloor glue where the floor is uneven and fill teh gaps with wood filler. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks.

You and your house will be forever sorry if you go over an uneven sub floor. The results will be wave, the floor will squeak, the tangs will break off and cause even more problems. Level the floor first. glue is not a leveler. In addition 3/4 solid is made to be nailed down, not glued. You need to level the old floor, using a new plywood sub floor or a floor leveling compound. The normal tollarence is 1/8" every 8'
