What kind of filter should I get for my 8 ft inflatable pool? ?

I went to my local pool store yesterday and they were less than helpful.

It's roughly 8ft in diameter and just under 3ft tall. It has plugs around the side that could have hoses attached. I just don't know if there is a type of filter that can be bought separately and attached to this size pool. Any suggestions?
When I spoke to the pool store clerk that i was after a filter for an 8ft inflatable pool she just shook her head and said they didn't have anything. Then she led me towards a pool cleaner. Not at all what I wanted.
