question about health?

ok, i recently started a job in an office in an old warehouse building; no manufacturing of any items takes place here, just storage of supplies (the company sells stainless steel chimney liners); as an old warehouse the place naturally isn't in the best of condition, with some dust on the floor and paint (non-lead based) chipping of the hallway; what i'm most concerned about is the possibility of any toxic fumes or hazardous compounds lurking in the air, seeping through the pipes, etc that could lead to one or another form of brain damage; i don't want to rely simply on what i can or cannot smell and any future symptoms of toxic inhalation (none yet), but i do want to be cautious as i am going to be in the office several hours each day; any thoughts on whether my fears are justified and how i can find out information on past/present health hazards in this building? (I live in new jersey); thanks so much

Pristine Car Floors, Anyone?

As owners and passengers come in and out of their respective cars, all sorts of dirt and grime are dragged within the vehicle interiors. It is a good thing that there are carpets to absorb such particles before making contact with a car’s supposedly pristine flooring. That way, the floor liner not only protects the car floor, but also saves the owner much time and effort from the rigorous washing of a stained carpet. Floor liners are usually integrated with side guards, high ribs, and solid rubberized surfaces to scrape snow and mud from passengers’ shoes. In addition, floor liners are designed to be highly resistant to breakage, forceful impacts, harsh elements, and extreme weather conditions. The floor liner is hardly universal in nature, as different vehicle forms and structures generally call for custom frames and moldings. To date, a wide variety of floor liners are available in the market, with a myriad of colors and creative designs that cater to every owner’s preference. Thus, functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand to form one delightful package.

With all the benefits provided by the floor liner, it is only wise that its proper care and maintenance be ensured. As tough as the covering may seem, it can still get damaged when handled carelessly. Maintaining floor liners do not really call for more than a regular washing and hosing down of accumulated dirt and particles. Once this practice is regularly done, the owner can be assured that the floor liner can last for a long time.
