Polaris 380 Pool cleaner- Back-up valve (Case only)..HOW...?
...Do I disassemble these from the line of the cleaner? All I have to replace is the housing of the back-up valve; Is there an online manual or instructions somewhere? It seems locked, but it looks like a twist off in the pics...
Can you help?
If you only need to replace the housing, your back up valve will either be held together with a large nut (unscrew counter clockwise) or it may me an older model that has two screws holding the case together. I would guess the new case has the nut type closure. If you will need to remove the hose from the valve, there are small white nuts threaded over the hose on both sides of the valve. Unscrew them and pull the hose off the barbed ends of the valve. Take note of the direction the valve is facing (it is marked showing the direction of the water flow). When replacing the small white nuts to the hose, slide the nuts over the barbed end of the valve first, then push the hose over the barbed end and then tighten the nut over the hose.
