Does your Polaris Pool Cleaner squirt salt water everywhere?

Our polaris pool cleaner stays in our pool 24/7, only coming on with timer. However when its on it constantly is squirting water (salt water) everywhere and has ruined all patio furniture and windows. Is this normal????

Assuming it's one of the pressure-side cleaners like the 360 or 380 (you don't specify in your post), the most common cause for water spraying out of the pool is from the sweep hose. The next time it's running, watch it for a while and see if the sweep hose breaks the surface often. If so, there is a large screw near the base of the mast that the sweep hose is attached to that you should be able to turn. Turn it clockwise a few turns... this will lessen the flow of water to the sweep hose and cause it to break the surface of the water less. (The sweep hose should move in a gradual, sweeping motion... if it is moving faster than that, there is too much water flow into the tail. Adjusting the sweep hose adjustment screw will help.)

Also, make sure it is not "floating" around the pool, and that it does it's traveling on the bottom.

Just an FYI: leaving it in the pool all the time will eventually shorten the life of the components. (Bearings, etc.) These cleaners all do need maintenance from time to time, but constant immersion in water will require it at more frequent intervals to maintain proper performance.
