Is this a reasonable estimate for compliance with Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act?
My condo association's insurance agent told us that we needed to make sure our pool drain was in compliance with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act or the insurance company might drop us.
We had our pool company check our drain, and they've given us an estimate that says we need both a new pool Drain Cover and something called Vac-Alert. Their estimate is for $860.00 plus tax. Is this a reasonable estimate?
That is a very reasonable price. I have been installing drain covers for over ten years and SVRS devices since they were mandated in 2008.
Make sure the contractor will be submitting required paperwork to your local county health dept.
