What is this noise my f150 truck makes?

1980Ford F150 2WD 302V8Automatic trans.
There's a whining gear sound that's turning when it's rolling and when it's stopped, like a granny gear or low jeep gear. But, when it's just idling?

*Checked the u-joints- bad, replaced both.
*Checked the rear-end, gear oil seaps out when check plug is removed.
*Checked ATF-right on the money.
*Couldn't find any zirc fittings besides the ball joints-filled them up.

The only thing I can think of, is the drive-line has a small dent in it midway along the outer casing, like it bounced off a big rock(I've only had it 2 weeks). Is this a normal sound for this truck? Also, I'm parked on an incline, backing-out is downhill. I put it in reverse and I have to give it gas to get it to start rolling back. Is this wheel-bearings, or brakes too tight?
