Spring Float
How do I fix my edelbrock carberator from running full trottle on it's own?
I clean carberator with cleaner. Had rust from gas tank. After initial start up, the engine ran great. Then after trying to adjust the two jets to balance, the carberator lock to full throttle. This was after several time of stopping and starting working with timeing to improve start and acceleration. This carb only has the one pump and spring with dual floats.
You might have bad accelerator pump.
Or possibly a vacuum leak.
Been a long time since working on one of these.
