Can I change my pool (sand ) filter tagelus to a sta rite DE filter, with out a whole lot of plumbing issues?

yes, I had a DE filter on my pool last year and just changed over to a sand filter.

You may need to buy a new pump if your new sand filter is not compatible with your existing pump.

I went on e bay and got a Hayward pump and filter brand new for less than $400. If you don't want to e bay that is fine but I would suggest you buy the entire pump and filter sustem together. That way everything you need will be in the box!
