The solar heater for my pool has holes in it...?
So I thought i got all the water out of it for winter but apparently did not. it is a sungrabber and basically is a bunch a black plastic tubes lined up to make one continuous mat. The water froze and expanded, breaking about a half dozen of the lines (think popped gum bubble frozen in time at the moment of burst). Can I patch these in any way, or barring that what would plug them up water tight and would the system still work?
Cut off the tube at the top and bottom where it goes into the big tubes. Cut them flush. Slather some big stainless screws with good quality sealant and screw into the holes from the small tubes. Let that cure for at least 2 days before running the heater again.
