Why does Water Pool under the driver's seat of my 2004 Dodge Stratus?

After a heavy rain, water pools under the driver's seat of my 2004 Dodge Stratus. The carpet under the seat is often saturated with water. There is no leaking from the window or windshield. The floor under the steering wheel remains dry, just under the seat gets sopping wet. I thought at first that there must be a hole of some kind underneath the car where water is getting in, but the last time it happened, I hadn't even taken the car out on the road. This only happens on the driver's side. Any ideas?

it has to be the windsheild or a sheetmetal seam. you will have to take it in, they will remove the carpet and interior panels and water test it. there have been some problems on those with a seam inside teh wiper cowl not being sealed. we just had one a month or so ago exactly like yours.
