Whisperflo Pool Pump

The pump's internal wiring is done by the factory. Like level switches to turn it off if the pool is dry so the pump does not seize up.
The pump motor has a name plate on it for the right operating voltage and amperage.
There should be three wires to hook up the pump.
120 volts is one hot from a circuit breaker, one neutral, and one ground wire.
240 volts is two hot wires from two different breakers, and one ground.
Either way the pump must have a ground connection.
Try ehow.com, it will be generic, or not you make and model but it will have downloadle pictures, diagrams, and instructions. It helps with the wiring. It makes it easier to understand.
